Fall is here, means my lips are so cranky! Uh – oh Cracky!
Did you just say ‘me too’? And do you love Popcorn? Then *Hugs* You are totally going to love this! – The POPCORN LIP SCRUB from Lush!
Scrubbing lips, Sounds harsh eh? Hmmm , not with this gentle, effective and most of all DELICIOUS scrub.
The things i love about the brand lush is that they are 100% natural, Hand- made, chemical-free, fresh, no animal testing .. and i can go on! You can read more about it here.
So why do we need to scrub our lips?
Dead skin like on any other part of the body accumulates on the lips too. This layer can prevent the lips from being moisturized and hydrated leading to rough , flaky and chapped lips especially during winter. We definitely dont want that, do we? Do you want to flaunt that gorgeous bold red lip this Fall? Then read on..
So on one of my trips to the Lush store, i discovered this pearl. And it comes in 3 different flavors :
- Mint Julep
- Pop corn
After trying all three, i knew it was going to be popcorn. I personally am not a fan of popcorn in general, but i love the flavor in the scrub!
The ingredients of the scrub are here :
Castor Sugar , Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) , Fine Sea Salt (Sodium Chloride) , Corn Meal (Zea Mays) , Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera) , Fizzy Candy (Isomalt, Lycasin, Carbon Dioxide) , Flavor
How do you use it :
Just take a pinch of it on your hand and rub it over your lips. Gently rub it for around 30-45 seconds. And then …
Lick it off You have a popcorn candy in your mouth and also soft silky lips! But if that sounds gross to you, then wash it off with water. Apply your favorite lip balm after this, and voila – You have soft, pink great lips!
Why does this work ?
- Castor sugar : This is the main ingredient of the scrub and its great for exfoliating your lips. It just rubs off all the dry, dead skin from your lips.
- Coconut oil : This one is great for moisturizing your lips. Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer, i cant tell this enough!
- Jojoba Oil : This i s again a wonderful moisturizer!
Cost : 9.95$ for 0.8oz
I feel that’s a little expensive too. Sooo… We will soon have a solution for that ! [Hint : Homemade lip scrub!] Coming sooon!
